Leaving the military, we quickly realize that there is a level of uncertainty leaving us with unanswered questions during the process of readapting to this new life back in society. Resulting in many women having a hard time and getting lost in the shuffle, including myself. Since leaving the service almost a decade ago, after battling depression, thoughts of harming myself and almost being homeless, I decided it was well overdue to create this community for us. The veteran WingWomen is a community where, side by side, we are finding our power, stepping into our purpose and taking on the journey becoming our own She-ros together. KeishaMarie Douglas is a retired dental assistant in the United States Air Force. She loves to travel to learn about different cultures. Currently, she is providing tools and resources to active-duty military and veterans women to reacclimate back into civilian life while building her speaking/podcasting platform in addition to creating a non-profit. KeishaMarie’s mission is to help women find happiness, love, peace, and joy while pursuing their calling to live fully in their truth of a financially abundant and exuberant life.
